About This Site

I was born in the 70s, a product of the DNA and nurturing my parents provided me.  My parents were born 20-some years before me and carried the DNA of the people before them and so on through the entire existence of life on this planet.

I loved hearing stories about my parents’ childhood, and as I got older, I loved hearing about my grandparents’ too.  Some time ago, a great-aunt provided me with a book written about my ancestors, complete with photographs and biographies, and I was hooked.

This blog is my journey as I uncover more about ancestors and learn more about genealogy.  The book is a great starting point, but I want to know more, and I want to know about all of my different branches.  I have 2 parents, 4 great grandparents, 8 great great grandparents, and so on.  I’m hoping to discover anything I can about each and every one of them.

Along the way, I’ll share with you what I find.  You might be a family member reading this, or perhaps a distant cousin with a common ancestor from the 1700’s.  Or perhaps you just like history and find stories about individuals from the past fascinating.

I’ll also share with you genealogy tips I find.  Websites, programs, techniques, anything I’ve found helpful or learned about genealogy, I will share here in order to teach others just starting out to discover their own history.
